• Ensures that all cases in need of basic and emergency medical assistance are provided with adequate health services.

• Provides basic medical screening, prescriptions for basic/essential medicines and makes referrals for chronic, emergency, or advanced care need cases.

• Ensuring that medical protocols and prescriptions are in line with diagnosis made and are followed appropriately by health personnel.

• Ensuring that universal infection control and precaution and hygiene standards are in place and maintained.

• Maintains regular contact with Directorate of Public Health staff and other local health stakeholders.

• Ensure proper documentation of patient information and daily entry into appropriate databases is maintained.

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the progress of field activities and challenges encountered, as well as summary information on patients screened, served, and referred.

• Maintains a regular medical supply stock record and communicates the need for replenishment with the MHU pharmacy team.

• Accompanies and supports the admission of emergency medical cases from received at the border or IOM transit center to the appropriate treatment center.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and collaborative relationships with clients, partners, and health professionals.

• Assist Migration Health National Programme Officer in project monitoring and identifying priority health needs and other activities including but not limited to regular disease outbreak monitoring and reporting, take part in health awareness campaign, etc.

• Take part in coordination meetings, workshops, training events and conferences at health cluster/provincial level.

Education:

University degree in Medicine or related field from an accredited academic institution and passed exit exam with Valid licence to practice.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience

• A few years of experience in a related medical field will be advantageous.

• Previous experience in development and humanitarian field is expected.
