Overview of position

Reporting and under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner (Logistics and Administration) NRC, the ICT Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the ICT services, management information systems, and technology infrastructure within the NRC. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the principles, techniques, and procedures of information systems and will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality ICT services and systems.

Role objectives
  • Develop and support the NRC Management Information System (MIS) to ensure efficient data management and analysis.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the security and reliability of ICT services and infrastructure.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the NRC’s ICT infrastructure and services.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ICT-related problems and issues experienced by staff and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate the execution of technology projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality ICT solutions.

  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the seamless integration of ICT systems and services with the Commission's day-to-day operations.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for ICT services and infrastructure, including user manuals, process descriptions, and technical specifications.

  • Monitor the performance and utilization of ICT infrastructure and services and provide regular reports to the management team.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that staff members are proficient in the use of ICT systems and services.

Project reporting
  • Provide regular reports to the management team.

Key competencies
  • Knowledge of management information systemsKnowledge of Windows, Linux, networking technologies and protocolsExperience managing enterprise-level data centers and networks.

  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript etc.)

  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities.
