Qualification High School in an accredited academic institution, with five years of relevant professional experience (Essential).
Bachelor's in Information Management, Computer Science, Media or Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least three years of relevant professional experience; or, (Essential).
Sector experience Minimum of • Previous experience in an international, humanitarian/development organization and/or in capacity building initiatives is an advantage; year/s of demonstrable relevant Institution Development & Capacity Building experience(Essential).
Minimum of • Experience in working with migration related issues; year/s of demonstrable relevant Migration experience(Essential).
Minimum of 7. Support the M&E Officer in managing, updating and regularly improving monitoring and evaluation frameworks for MRRM projects and an effective information management system coordinating the data collection, analysis and reporting through KOBO and other systems in Libya. year/s of demonstrable relevant Monitoring & Evaluation experience(Essential).

Overview of position

Under the overall supervision of the Head – Programs Development and Support Unit and the direct supervision of the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, the Data and Information Management Assistant - in coordination with the Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM) Program Manager and Unit - will be responsible for the following activities related to Data and Information Management functions:

Role objectives

1.      Support the overall coordination of the integrated mechanism for data gathering and information management for the MRRM ongoing activities to verify that accurate and reliable data are collected, stored, and submitted in a timely manner to be used for further processing including regular reporting;

2.      Support and coordinate the enumerator’s data collections during distribution of items and awareness sessions that promote and aim to disseminate the #InformedMigrant information campaign materials including organization of community events, focus group discussions and recreational activities.

3.      Support the design, test and regularly review information and data collection tools for MRRM programs, ensuring the compliance with relevant monitoring and reporting requirements.

4.      Provide advice and guidance on the information and data collection process in coordination with the MRRM implementation and reporting focal points.

5.      Support the compilation and drafting of various MRRM related reports, including weekly activity reports, monthly newsletter, COVID frameworks and quarterly reports.

6.      Support the compilation and management of information on MRRM Unit’s Dashboard and provides accurate and timely results on IOM Libya Power BI report Server;

7.      Support the M&E Officer in managing, updating and regularly improving monitoring and evaluation frameworks for MRRM projects and an effective information management system coordinating the data collection, analysis and reporting through KOBO and other systems in Libya.

8.      Prepare and generate local level information products such as dashboards, fact sheets, info sheets, weekly updates and support on information sharing and dissemination to all relevant channels, for the MRRM programs in Libya.

9.      Participate in the development of MRRM monitoring surveys, training modules for the stakeholders as required for the implementation of information management mechanisms to facilitate smooth roll out;

10.  Perform on duty travels and monitoring visits to the MRRM programs’ locations.

11.  Assist with informal translations if and when required.

12.  Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Further information

·         Experience in working with migration related issues;

·         Work experience from an international organization is an advantage.

·         Previous experience in an international, humanitarian/development organization and/or in capacity building initiatives is an advantage;

·         Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds and respect for diversity and gender            equality;

·         Experience preferably in an international organization. Experience with IOM or another international organization a plus or master’s degree in the                above field is an advantage;

·         Ability to pay close attention to details and work with minimal supervision

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines  

·         Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a team of colleagues 

-         Strong knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel, and good knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator,                                                 InDesign). Preferred knowledge of GIS software.
