| Qualification |
Technical or vocational diploma in first-level university degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Water/Wastewater Technology, Laboratory Technology or a related field (essential). Bachelors in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field. Technical or vocational training in drafting, AutoCAD, surveying, civil works, construction supervision or related disciplines. (desirable). |
| Sector experience |
Minimum of 5 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience with WHO drinking-water parameters, wastewater quality monitoring, cholera/Vibrio testing and enteric pathogen analysis (desirable). Minimum of 5 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in water and wastewater sampling, field testing, laboratory analysis, environmental monitoring or public health laboratory work (essential). Minimum of 5 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience supporting engineering documentation, site surveys, field measurements, AutoCAD drafting and as-built preparation (desirable). Minimum of 5 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience conducting physical, chemical and microbiological water quality analysis, reagent preparation, calibration and laboratory equipment maintenance (essential). |

| Project reporting |
The Water Analysis Laboratory Technician will report to the WATSAN Engineer, Chief Engineer, EFMS, or designated supervisor. Reporting requirements include:
Reports shall be prepared and maintained in accordance with EFMS procedures, laboratory protocols and mission reporting requirements. |
