| Overview of position |
Under the overall supervision of the Recovery and Soltuions Programme Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Livelihoods and Early Recovery Project Officer, the Senior Programme Associate (Livelihoods and Cash-Based Interventions) will provide technical coordination and implementation support for youth livelihoods related activities and Cash-Based Intervention (CBI) components under the Recovery and Solutions Unit. The incumbent will contribute to quality assurance, compliance with donor and IOM standards, and day‑to‑day coordination with national and municipal authorities, private sector actors, training institutions, and implementing partners. The position requires solid technical knowledge, effective coordination and communication skills, and the ability to identify and flag operational or implementation risks in support of programme objectives. |

Experience providing technical and operational oversight for livelihoods, youth empowerment, or cash-based interventions projects, including monitoring financial processes and reviewing project expenditures using Excel or similar tools. Experience supporting and supervising project implementation, including planning, monitoring, and coordinating activities across multiple teams (Finance, Procurement, Logistics, M&E, and Programme) to ensure smooth delivery of livelihoods initiatives and compliance with donor and organizational standards. Experience organizing and managing workshops, trainings, field visits, and community-based activities, including coordination with stakeholders and follow-up on implementation. Experience overseeing data collection, monitoring, and reporting processes, including maintaining accurate records, and ensuring adherence to reporting requirements, gender, protection, and inclusion principles. Prior experience in an operational or managerial role within an international organization, UN agency, or NGO, ideally with responsibility for livelihoods programming, cash-based interventions, youth employment, or entrepreneurship initiatives, including guiding to staff or partners. |
