| Overview of position |
The Bids Editor plays a critical role in strengthening CTG’s commercial success by improving the quality, clarity and credibility of bid submissions. By transforming draft content into clear, compelling and well‑structured proposals, the Bids Editor helps ensure CTG presents a strong, confident case to clients and donors in competitive procurement environments.
This is a hands‑on editorial role focused on refining existing content; sharpening language, improving flow and ensuring consistency so that evaluators can quickly understand CTG’s value proposition and key differentiators. |
| Role objectives |
• Edit and proofread bid content to a high professional standard, ensuring accuracy, clarity, readability and grammatical correctness. • Strengthen narrative flow and structure across sections so proposals read as a single, coherent document aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria. • Refine language to make CTG’s value proposition, differentiators and key messages clear and easy for evaluators to absorb, tightening phrasing, removing repetition and reducing ambiguity. • Ensure tone and style reflect client expectations, mandate and values, while remaining consistent with CTG’s positioning and brand. • Flag gaps, unclear logic, unsupported claims or misalignment with client requirements, clearly highlighting these issues for the bid team to address. • Check for consistency across the full submission, including terminology, acronyms, job titles, dates, figures, headings and naming conventions. • Review and clean up Microsoft Word formatting (styles, headings, spacing, bullets, tables, page breaks, headers and footers) to ensure the submission is compliant, professional and evaluator friendly. • Maintain version control across multiple drafts, supporting smooth handovers in fast paced bid environments. • Work to tight deadlines when required, prioritising high impact sections such as executive summaries, methodologies and compliance narratives when time is limited. |
