Overview of position

General background:

  • Private Sector Partnership Service (PSP) sits in our clients division of external relations & is responsible for raising resources for the organization from two sources; individual giving (general public) & leadership giving (corporations, foundations & private philanthropists).

  • As a Face-to-Face Team Leader (F-2-F), to raise funds for our client as a member of a team by signing up recurring donors to the program at campaign locations directed by our client. As a Face-to-Face Team Leader (F-2-F), to build, maintain & lead, a minimum of 5 - 6 fundraisers & well trained & motivated team of fundraisers by building a strong, supportive & productive team environment which upholds professional standards & the aims, values & reputation of our client & its face to face program.

Role objectives

The Face to Face Team Leader will perform the following duties:

Regular donor:

  • Approach potential donors in public or private places & recruit regular giving donors in linewith the code of conduct set by our client.

  • Work at a location at the time, hours & place set by the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) unit of our client.

  • Deliver daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly team performance reports & analyze areas of improvement.

Advocacy:

  • Represent our client on the street & in indoor locations in a professional manner, including appearance & communications with the public.

Program performance:

  • Close monitor & analyze team performance ensuring that all targets & key performance indicatorsare met or exceeded.

  • Maintain & grow the teams in order to establish strong core teams that consistently meet the required targets.

  • Support to expand F2F in house program to wider areas in UAE.

Training & staff development:

  • Provide effective ongoing training & coaching to keep face to face staff motivated & engaged with the program & the organization in order to deliver results.

  • Conduct ongoing motivational & team building activities to ensure that the team consistently performat the highest level.

  • Lead by example in the field by maintaining a positive attitude, punctuality, time management, professionalism, problem solving ability & consistency.

  • Ensure appropriate high quality trainings & development to support high performing staff & develop an effective promotion plan to ensure leadership positions are filled as the program grows.

Performance management of staff:

  • Monitor performance of the F2F in house teams.

  • Lead core staff in preparing achievable work plans for their teams.

  • Where targets are not being met by individual fundraisers ensure they are effectively following performance management procedures to get them back on target.

  • Ensure any disciplinary action taken is done in line with organizational policy & face to face fundraising staff performance policy.

Monitoring & reporting:

  • Set daily targets for team & ensure that team targets are achieved or surpassed by monitoring individual & team performance.

  • Monitor team member’s punctuality, time management & attitude.

  • Give feedback to the team about individual & team result.

  • Record daily & weekly team target & present to the assigned management team.

  • Report about team & individual performance.

  • Propose recommendations or suggestions to improve team management or face to face program.

Administration:

  • Ensure that team’s pledge online forms are filled out accurately, legibly & completely.

  • Manage & maintain adequate supplies of sign up forms, welcome packs, etc.

Leadership:

  • Motivate & encourage team members.

  • Lead by example in positive attitude, punctuality, time management, professionalism, problem solving ability & consistency.

  • Relay organizational information to team members.

  • Find creative ways to motivate & encourage own team to achieve targets.

  • Plan social events to enhance team development.

Monitoring & progress controls:

  • The Team Leader is required to establish, maintain & lead, a minimum of 5 - 6 fundraisers.

  • The Team Leader’s performance will be monitored by his / her individual donor recruitment of approved donors which will be available one month after the sign up date. Hence, the performance will also be monitored by number of signups. The minimum number of sign up is 35 monthly & 15 annual regular donors per month & maintained minimum 2 average from the assigned team all the time.

  • The Team Leader shall maintain attrition rate at or below 15% all the time.


Project reporting

This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies
  • Completion of senior secondary education or vocational training equivalent to (senior secondary school level).

  • At least 3 - 6 months of successful performance as a face to face fundraiser or Team Leader.

  • Previous work experience in coordination of teams & events would be an asset (desirable).

  • Previous experience with the UN in a similar capacity is an asset (desirable).

  • Relevant experience in face to face fundraising.

  • Able to identify with the cause of the organization.

  • Ability to motivate & lead a team.

  • Results driven.

  • Proficiency in written & verbal communication skills.

  • Fluency in English, both written & spoken.

  • Flexible, proactive & creative person.
