| Overview of position |
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Satellite-Office (HoSO) in Zamboanga, direct supervision of the Sr. Technical and Liaison Assistant for GHS in Zamboanga, the successful candidate will have direct engagement with Provincial Health Office, and is responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfilment of quality implementation of IOM health programming operations, particularly support in direct provision of health services to vulnerable mobile populations, as well as coordination and administration of health components in the province and cities of Tawi-Tawi, Basilan, Sulu. |
| Role objectives |
Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring health programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of the local population in Tawi-Tawi, Basilan,Sulu as guided by the Sr. Technical and Liaison Assistant. Support in ensuring proper and regular communication and collaboration with stakeholders such as health and non-health government partners, private sectors, and other development and humanitarian partners. Support capacity building and mentoring sessions to health partners and ensure their application of the provided technical assistance on DRMM-H, surveillance, and migration health management. Support health workers and frontline responders at Points of Entry/Exit and referral facilities to deliver inclusive health services to migrants and mobile populations, such as screening, testing, treatment, and referrals. Monitor utilization of health kits and testing/screening equipment, ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control, and waste management protocols. Manage data collection records and facilitate drafting monthly status reports, briefing notes, and other forms of documentation related to the health programming in Tawi-Tawi. Support organisation, implementation, and monitoring of community and stakeholder engagement activities and such as monitoring, consultations, focus groups discussions, information campaigns, surveys, mapping, trainings, and activities. Perform various administrative and clerical tasks such as preparing the necessary activity logistic arrangements and requests such as documents, materials and resources for the smooth execution of activities and office functions in the province. Respond to general information requests and inquiries. Assist in the implementation of IOM’s policies and protocols on PSEA and AAP, such as through dissemination of relevant messages and information. Undertake duty travels in support of the programme.
