Qualification |
University degree in development, social or political sciences, conflict management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 years of relevant experience working in similar role (essential). High school diploma in the same fields (as mentioned above) with five years of relevant working experience (essential). |

Minimum of 5 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in project implementation & in the field of “conflict mitigation & community reconciliation” to address conflict, promote peace & enhance community reconciliation in the Local Government Areas (LGA's (essential). |
Geographical experience |
Minimum of 5 year/s of experience in Africa (essential). |
Languages |
Fluent in English (essential). Fluent in Hausa (essential). Fluent in any local language(s) (essential). |

Overview of position |
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission & the direct supervision of the Project Manager for Peacebuilding / Head of Sub Office, the Project Assistant will play a key role in supporting the implementation of peacebuilding projects in Katsina, Zamfara & other states in northwest Nigeria. This position involves coordinating with local communities, government authorities & other stakeholders to advance peace initiatives, facilitate community engagement & enhance reconciliation efforts. The Project Assistant will also be responsible for monitoring project activities & contributing to reporting on peacebuilding outcomes. Support in the organisation of a quarter meeting with the state steering committee at the state level in Katsina & Zamfara in support of the implementation of the EU project “Conflict Prevention Crisis Response & Resilience (CPCRR)” program in Katsina & Zamfara in Nigeria. |
