Overview of position

CTG is looking for candidates whose experience match this TOR.

Role objectives
  • Ensures the maintenance and repair of light vehicles, trucks and generators of our clients and its partners.

  • Be able to perform major repairs (gearboxes, tires, engine, suspension, steering system, air conditioning, braking system, and others)

  • Ensure the planning of the maintenance of all mechanical and hydraulic circuits according to the technical instructions for routine maintenance.

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures.

  • Disassemble and assemble defective elements according to the recommended technological and safety procedure.

  • Knowing how to make good decisions regarding the restoration or replacement of worn parts and ensure their reassembly.

  • Regularly inspect all light vehicles, trucks and generators.

  • Develop the plan and procedure for intervention for repairs.

  • Make requests for parts or recommendation for specialized work.

  • Ensure cleanliness and order in the workshops and ensure the correct use of tools.

  • Prepare requests for parts and consumables as needed.

  • Perform physical receipt of parts and consumables at the store.

  • Physically remove parts and lubricants into the store after approval by the head of the sub-office

  • Inform superiors regularly of stock levels.

  • Perform physical inventories of scheduled periodic parts.

  • Submit documents for data entry in the FMS on time.

  • Maintain management documents, receipt notes, warehouse parts issue notes, stock cards, transfer cards.

  • Assist the workshop or its assistant in ordering spare parts.

  • File and archive all copies of documents for the management of documents,

  • Keeping storage areas clean

  • Take care of used parts that will have to be returned to Port-au-Prince at the end of each month.

  • Perform any other task as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Project reporting

This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies
  • Have a national identity card.

  • Submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae.

  • Provide a blank certificate of good conduct and morals.

  • Hold a BT or BTS degree in mechanics.

  • Have at least seven (5) years of progressive experience in the field of mechanical, electrical, electronics and automotive air conditioning of heavy and light trucks as well as the repair and maintenance of generators and motorcycles

  • Be able to perform welding work.

  • Have a good level of spoken and written French.

This role has no team management responsibility.
