Certificate in Secondary education with substantial, verifiable hands-on experience in civil works supervision may be accepted in lieu of formal qualifications (essential). Technical or vocational diploma in civil works, construction supervision, masonry, concrete works, carpentry, roadworks, equipment operation, occupational safety or a related field (desirable). |

Minimum of 10 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in hardship, hostile, conflict, post-conflict, peacekeeping, humanitarian, military or emergency construction environments (desirable). Minimum of 10 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in civil works, construction, maintenance, repairs, renovations, roadworks, drainage, earthworks, concrete works, masonry, carpentry, steel works, prefabricated/containerized facilities or site supervision (essential). Minimum of 3 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in supervision of civil works crews, labourers, tradespersons, equipment operators and/or contractor teams (desirable). Minimum of 10 year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in field execution, work sequencing, site measurements, daily reporting, material coordination, equipment coordination, quality monitoring and safety supervision (essential). |

The General Foreman – Civil Works will report to the Civil Engineer, Facilities Management Assistant, Chief Engineer, or designated supervisor. Reporting requirements include:
Reports shall be prepared and maintained in accordance with EFMS procedures and project reporting requirements. |
