Geographical experience Minimum of 3 year/s of experience in Africa (essential).
Languages Fluent in Arabic (essential).

Overview of position

Under overall guidance of the  Project Coordinator and the Project Officer, the Operations Associate will be responsible in providing assistance for the development and the implementation of the community stabilization activities in Tawargha and support the overall work of theRecovery and Solutions Department. 


Role objectives
  1. Provide general/clerical assistance in the implementation of project activities. With main focus on livelihoods and early recovery interventions in designated AoR.

  2. Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics. including livelihood activities, beneficiary data, and market-related information.

  3. Assist in monitoring budget and updating budget related information, particularly for livelihoods and community-based recovery activities. 

  4. Support administrative coordination for project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units or external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process, and follow-up on administrative actions including coordination with local authorities, service providers, and beneficiaries.

  5. Draft status reports when require, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, with inputs related to livelihoods programming and field implementation progress.

  6. Support field-level implementation and monitoring of livelihoods and early recovery activities, including beneficiary follow-up where required. Support the organization of meetings, workshops and training sessions. including those related to livelihoods, vocational training, and community engagement activities.

  7. Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.  

  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Further information
    Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations; Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and, Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
