| Overview of position |
Our client supports partners to design and implement sustainable, inclusive and resilient solutions in fragile and climate-vulnerable contexts. In Libya, Our client is implementing the RENEWAL project to address climate risk in the agricultural and livestock sectors through assessing and increasing the climate-resilient capacity of farmers and pastoralists, with a specific focus on vulnerable communities, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, youth, and minorities. Additionally, Our client is implementing the Building the Capacities for Plastic Waste Management in the Greater Tripoli Area project in Libya. The project aims to increase the capacity of the private sector to play a role in managing plastic waste through recycling under the circular economy concept. Under the climate change portfolio, Our client is working closely with the Libyan government, civil society organizations and micro, small and medium enterprises. Robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) is required to ensure results-based management, evidence-based decision making, donor-compliant reporting, and adaptive management across the portfolio. |
| Role objectives |
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the MEL Specialist will support the following: MEL system design and operationalisation
Baseline, proposal development, routine monitoring, and evaluation support
Reporting, dashboards, and donor compliance
Safeguards and risk monitoring
Knowledge management and learning
Impact of results
