| Overview of position |
Our client’s work on communication, social mobilization, and cold chain management for polio eradication entails the collection, collation, and analysis of data on uptake and refusal of vaccines among children; this requires review of a range of monitoring data from the field. The information from this data will be used to guide programme planning and implementation at the regional, provincial, and district levels. Given the above programmatic needs, additional capacity is anticipated to support our client's Polio team in terms of data collection, data analysis, monitoring, evidence generation, and use of data at the field level.
The M&E extender, under the direct supervision of regional focal points, will be responsible for accomplishing the above tasks. |
| Role objectives |
The Monitoring and Evaluation Extender will support the zonal Polio teams in data collection, analysis, visualization, and evidence-informed decision making. The M&E Extender is responsible for the following:

| Key competencies |
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, computer science, public health, development studies). · At least 3 years of experience in M&E, data collection, and analysis in the health sector and immunization · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel). · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to work effectively in a team and with partners.
· Able to travel to all the provinces of Afghanistan, especially within the East region, whenever required |
