Overview of position
  • This vacancy is restricted to internal applicants; only individuals currently employed by UNICEF Pakistan and who have received a unique candidate number via email are eligible to apply.

  • The Data Information and Visualization Officer will play a central role in strengthening data driven decision making across the polio programme. The officer will gather, clean, and analyse data from different sources (like NEOC, IDMIS and ICMIS etc), then turn it into clear and practical visuals that help teams act quickly and make informed choices. This includes tracking vaccination coverage, missed children, Zero Dose, SBCC indicators, and other key programme data needed for effective planning and response.
    The officer will work closely with provincial and district teams, government counterparts, and partners to ensure that reliable and timely information is always available for monitoring, campaign preparation, and rapid field action. They will also support SBCC and programme teams by bringing data into communication materials, daily briefs, and review meetings so that messages and strategies reflect the real situation on the ground.

    The purpose of this role is to improve the overall quality and impact of the polio programme by turning complex data into clear, useful, and easy to understand information that drives action and supports continuous improvement.

Role objectives
  • Lead the collection, cleaning, and analysis of provincial polio and immunization data, including vaccination coverage, missed children, Zero Dose children, leftover children, and SBCC indicators.

  • Produce clear, high-quality dashboards, infographics, and visual reports that support operational and strategic decision making at provincial and district levels.

  • Work with programme and SBCC teams to identify key performance indicators for SIA, RI, and communication activities, and regularly track and report progress.

  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting by preparing concise data briefs, summaries, and trend analyses for reviews and coordination meetings.

  • Maintain and manage the programme’s data systems, ensuring that data is accurate, updated, well organized, and accessible to relevant staff and partners.

  • Coordinate closely with DEOCs, district communication teams, and field staff to collect timely field data and community feedback information.

  • Integrate data into SBCC plans, communication materials, and advocacy products so that messages reflect real time field realities.

  • Provide technical support and hands on training to staff and partners on data tools, trackers, Excel, Power Point, Google sheet, Google forms and visualization practices.

  • Strengthen data quality by checking inconsistencies, following up with field teams, and ensuring that reporting standards are followed.

  • Support rapid response needs by providing timely analysis, flash reports, or visuals during campaigns and special activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing data driven solutions, highlighting emerging trends, and advising programme teams on areas requiring action.

  • Establish and maintain a Quality Assurance (QA) protocol for all data collected, analysed, and visualized, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and ethical representation of immunization program metrics before official release.

  • Actively contribute data-driven narratives and evidence to provincial policy briefs, decision-making forums, review meetings to directly inform and influence decision making.

KPIs:

  • All monthly data analysis reports submitted on time with complete and accurate programme insights.

  • SBCC related data, summaries, and visuals for pre-TAG and other key meetings prepared, updated, and shared at least one week before each event.

  • SBCC KPI infographics and data-based observations produced and shared on schedule for programme reviews.

  • Daily SBCC data for intra campaign activities compiled, verified, and reported on time

  • Participation in at least half of district level coordination meetings led by ACOs and CCOs to ensure strong data support for field operations.

  • Provincial SBCC dashboards regularly updated, maintained, and kept ready for programme decision

  • At least 90% of data records found to be complete and accurate during random system audits (DQA).


    At least 80% of planned data analysis & visualization training sessions (for staff and partners) held.

        • Second line Officer: Team Lead/Social & Behaviour Change Specialist 

        Key competencies

        Qualifications:

        • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, computer science, public health, management, or a related field. Having a master’s degree is an added advantage.

        • At least 3 years of experience working with programme data, analysis, and reporting with at least 2 years’ experience either in health & immunization programmes, or SBCC related work. 

        • Proven ability to manage data responsibly, maintain accuracy, and support timely reporting.

        Skills:

        • Strong ability to review, interpret, and simplify complex programme data for planning and decision making.

        • Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with programme teams, field staff, and government counterparts.

        • Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect and analyze data from various sources.

        • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present complex data in a visual format.

        • Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or GIS/QGIS and google studio.

        • Strong command of Power Query and Power Pivot for smart data shaping.

        • Advanced Excel skills to build clear dashboards and clean reports.

        • Ability to design simple and sharp visuals in Canva.

        • Skilled in creating automated trackers and tools with a strong eye for detail.

        Team management
