| Overview of position |
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non- governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. Under the overall supervision of the Outreach and CPB protection Officer, the direct supervision of the Senior Protection Assistant (CBP), and in close coordination with other colleagues, the incumbent will assist in the implementation of IOM protection case management, Outreach and CBP activities.
Community-Based Protection (CBP) is a key approach aimed at ensuring the protection of vulnerable populations by involving communities as active participants in identifying and addressing protection risks. The CBP Outreach assistant will serve as a bridge between at-risk communities and protection services, fostering trust, understanding, and collaboration. |
